Road to Success
Imagine that you’re driving down a long road. This trip is different than many others, as you don’t have a navigation system or a map to follow. While your vision is clear, the destination is uncertain. Yet you know exactly where you want to end up.
There are detours, exits, rest stops and obstacles along the way. Some take you down dark, empty side streets. Others lead to lush scenery and roads paved with success.
At times, you unknowingly end up on what feels like the wrong road. Yet you somehow find your way. Every time you face this situation, you have to make a choice. You can dwell on your problem and what may go wrong. Or, you can look for the lesson and focus on all that can go right.
We face decisions like this every day. Whether we focus on the positive or the negative is up to us. What’s certain is that what we choose to focus on dramatically affects the outcome.
If you end up on an empty side street, a right mindset makes it so much easier to get back on the main road. Furthermore, you’ll enjoy the journey as you venture down the brightest of paths or find your way off even the darkest of streets.
If positive, things won’t always go your way. Even so, you can still find a way to turn them around. In the same way, being positive doesn’t mean things will go your way. You can find the positive no matter how things go.
A change in focus changes everything. Don’t dwell on what can go wrong. Focus on all that can go right. What feels like a wrong turn might be just what you need to find your way.
